Mega Bread Pakoda

There’s an art to a proper bread pakoda, and it’s one we’ve never rushed. Every piece starts with soft, fresh bread hand-stuffed with a generous, spiced potato filling — thicker and bigger than what you’ll find at most stalls, because we believe a snack that’s meant to fill you up shouldn’t be shy about it.

The filling is built the traditional way: boiled potatoes mashed with green chillies, coriander, and a masala blend we’ve refined over the years, layered between bread slices that are pressed firm so nothing falls apart in the fryer. Each batch is fried fresh in small quantities, never sitting around waiting for a customer, so what reaches you is always hot, crisp on the outside, and soft within.

Best enjoyed the moment it arrives — with a dollop of tangy tamarind chutney, a smear of green mint chutney, and a hot cup of masala chai on the side. This is the bread pakoda Old Delhi remembers.
